After you've used it for a few months, go back and drive a normal shifter. You won't believe the difference.

i had the ST-i short shift put into my car as a dealer option, so i have always driven my car with it. Than, my dads friend let me drive his Corvette and the difference was incredible. You barely have to move the ST-i shifter and it slides into gear. Except it wont shift into first gear unless you are at a complete stop, but the dealer said "it's supposed to be that way"

Good move... I had the B&M ripper in my Cobra and it was great. I think the ripper, tri-ax, and pro 5.0 are all great, but I've only used the Ripper. Have a Hurst in the Vette.

The construction difference between an after market performance shifter and a stock shifter is huge. An after market shifter is built like a tank. I have no idea how in hell you broke an after market shifter unless it was built like complete shit.
