i'll check it out and cut all the tape and loom off of it. this really sucks

i know jack shit about electrical work, but if it was an engine problem i would have already fixed it by now, even if it threw a rod.

FSM = Factory Service Manual. A Haynes or any of those other cheap service manuals (FSM are usually $100+) are not quite the same thing.

update: i fixed my car, it was the power transistor all along. thanks for the help guys..
