I would agree that most people on bikes can't launch them very well. I'm on one of the slower 600's money can buy and I've rarely lost in a race against other bikes. Hell, with my new gearing I've beaten RC-51's and the like!

Were you meaning 0-1320 rpms? My bike redlines' at 1350, but I've brought her deeper than that before! I like to bog it a little off of the start to make sure that I don't lift the front end. With my new gearing I have a little bit more tq so I'd love to get a run in against you!

I had Bake spank my ass a looong time ago; rolling from 40-60 on the highway though. Not what I like.

As soon as I get a rear tire I'm all about it!

Been to VMP I think it was????? It was the week or so before the Halloween night last October. I got one stinkin' run in before the onslaught of rain. Took it nice and easy as a friend who runs all the damn time (GTP that runs 12.2's) told to take my time on my first couple of runs; so I did. Too bad I only got ONE friggin' run in!!!!!!!!!! Raced a dude on a highley modded ninja. Beat him as he couldn't launch the damn thing! Didn't shift on time nor did I take each gear till the end; ran a 12.6..............

You know the ironic part? I've got a friend with my exact bike; color and everything, except he has a slip on and a jet kit. (should be faster than mine) When I told him my time of 12.6 he was impressed as he couldn't get out of the 13's when he went to the track!!!!

Been down to CMP in S. Carolina; NOTHING, and I mean NOTHINGcan compare to dragging a knee at 80mph!!!!!!!! It's just crazy!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be taking my bike back to the strip at least ONCE this summer to see what I can run for real. I almost went to VMP Saturday but I still don't have a rear and I'm showing cord........................

Mike later laughed and said the bike had been in the late 8's on the bottle !! Guess I should of been smart enought to know if Mike was involved the bike would run its ass off!

 

Busa's should run low 10's off the show room floor. Add an air shifter and extended swingarm and you're talking low 9's. Screw the bottle..................

 

There is no way you could cut a 1.43 60' time on street tires, thats imposible. I have a small turbo(quick spool) and 75 shot of N20 used with AWD and slicks and have pulled off a best 60' time of 1.61, show me slips and/or video

 

CBR600F4, i think you kicked my ass at VMSP that night! i was there that night, and your exact bike and color and a guy that looks pretty much like you was lined up against me, never even considered it might have been you... it was the first time out for me on the 1000, i got off the line OK, 1.8 60' which is respectable on a stock height/length bike first try, but top of 1st it started to spin, short shifted to 2nd and it just shot straight to the rev limiter spinning, short shifted again to 3rd and bam same thing just spun right up to redline and got a little sideways on me, short shifted AGAIN to 4th to try and control the spin and it caught traction and bogged down to like 3k rpm haha, ran a 12.80, it was hilarious... but turned out there was antifreeze all over the left lane, even on the coldest tires there is no well in hell my bike should spin like that, i heard everyone in the stands was like damn that guy can't ride worth shit haha... just re-read your reply, maybe it wasn't you if you only got one run and raced a ninja, and the guy i raced ran slightly better than a 12.6 or whatever

1badss- i'd give you a run just for fun, i think it would be cool to run a car that could hang right next to my bike or even leave me... roll on or 1/4 whatever you like, i don't care at all... but i think 1/4 mile it would be a pretty good race, if you got a really good launch then i think i'd be more than likely admiring your tail lights, if you didn't get a 1.4 and i got a decent start we'd probably be about tied, i guess it would also depend on if you catch me a weekend when i'm going to the strip and the bike is lowered and i can actually cut a respectable short time, or if its set up like it is 90% of the time and stock height, in which case 1.8's is about all i can get out of it and i would be no contest off the line, only hope would be to hopefully catch you by the end... but roll on i'd win for sure, my trap speed is almost 20 mph higher, i know theres no skill involved in that but i think it would be cool to actually have something w/ 4 wheels give me a run for my money on the interstate, every car i've ever played with i could pretty much just half gas it and play around with them

 

That would be funny if it was you but I don't think so either. I was in the left when I made my one and only run; and I think the dude totally stalled his bike out on the launch (that's what I was told).

Plus this kid was getting ragged on 'cause he was talking so much smack about "supposedly" beating sooo many cars in races that even his friends wouldn't substantiate.

It was the green colored ninja and had MAJOR work done to it. I'm talking even a more aggressive cam! His bike was damn quick, even with the stall he still ran just over 13 if I'm remembering right............I've gotta find that time slip!
