This one is temporary. I got such a good deal on it I couldn't pass it up. My next bike (within a year) will be either the XB12 that you're talking about or a V-Rod.

I used to hate Sporties but they really came around this year. The new 1200 is a great bike. If you're looking at a Sporty I'd definantly try out a Buell Lightning before you buy. It's damn near as comfortable and the XB9 will run rings around the 1200 Sporty.

You know, My last bike was a 900RR and it honestly had less driveline lash than the Buell does. It's not as smooth as you would think. The motor on the otherhand, while not rediculously fast, is unbelievably smooth and torquey as hell. It'll pull away in 5th (top gear, no 6th) gear from below 2000 rpms without a any problem. My old RR couldn't even think about doing that.

Awesome looking Buell! I love the look of the white ones but my heart is set on the black XB12R. I've seen a couple of the white XB's running around. One in Va Beach and another in Yorktown. I hope you're not the one in york that I saw. That owner was being stupid and lost control of the bike while doing a burnout.
