yea ive shifted from 3rd to 1st twice, and both times were when i was new to stick and i was trying to turn at the same time other than that..never

even though that wasn't me, i have done that exact same thing....i was racing and i just got my car....that 3rd -4th can be tricky when you have the 6 speed, adrenaline is rushing, and you just get ur car....
thank god it was only one time....knock on wood....


just hope that you punch the clutch right back in and don't let it sit in that gear for too long...lol...

never realized that shifting from 3-4 being any differant than a 5 speed. it's straight back from 3rd just like any other car.

I don't get it.

If you're using a 6 speed then how in the hell would you accidentally shift from 3rd to 1st. Both gears are forward on the gearbox. There's no "other gear" that you could have been going for that would accidentally put you into 1st gear.

And the tranny shouldn't allow you to put it into first at any speed above 20mph, and in 3rd gear you should at least be at 80mph if you're speed shifting.

So in conclusion
