11.5:1 is on the rich side, nice and safe for a turbo car though. You may be just too rich too, dunno.. Get an A/F gauge or that wideband and see what's up with that first. If you were running the same fuel pump before, and only turned up the boost, I doubt you're running too rich.. If the ECU isn't tuned that well around those levels of boost though, you may be having problems with that as far as injector duration, or spark, etc..

No, the stock SR20 ECU will not adapt to your boost pressure. It is programed for 7psi. Although some settings may change due to differnet vacuum pressures but it is best if you get some type of ecu upgrade for the, as u would call it, full effect.

A T25 can defenty go upto 14-15psi.

You turbo looses efficiency after 12 psi.. After that your blowing useless hot air. For instance in my car my turbo's crap out point is at 18psi anything after i loose power, so i have my boost controller spike 20psi for torque and getting the car going and running 18psi drop 2psi till redline so i dont lean out.... every turbo has a efficiency point and with smaller turbos the air heats up too quickly at higher boost pressures than stock.

Efficiency does go down, but its not past the point of diminishing returns after 12 psi. You have to be more careful about detonation though with the additional heat. Also, those smaller turbo's wont last to long at high boost pressures.

The sr20 ecu does use fuzzy logic, so it does "learn". The SR20 uses a MAF, so you dont have to change anything for different boost pressures.

why do people say the sr20's turbo is efficient only till 12psi when its not?

enjuku racing clearly states that the efficiency is from 7-15psi, i run 15psi at night when its really cold and it pulls like a mutha fucka.

now as far as turbos wearing down i have yet to see that happen but when that time comes ill be ready to upgrade turbos!

im pretty sure the turbo is efficient in the high boost range. i know ppl who have been running around 1 bar (14.5psi) for more than a year now without turbo related problems. Im sure its less efficient but its faster. thats just a risk we take.

Same here...I ran my stock turbo between 14-15 psi daily and was considerabley quicker than 10-12psi. Ran that for about a year until I got a bigger turbo. Only problem I did have though is when I temporarily hooked my stock turbo back up w/o the coolant lines before I installed my new mani...and that seemed to have a negative effect on the turbo.
