I think 8K is about......TOO MUCH!!! try 4k...6k at most if its in GOOD ASS condition...maybe 7 or higher for a 98 and up....

There are alot of s14's out there but its hard to find 5spds where as the s13's...very easy but you dont want a OLD CAR .... I love 89-94's the most...thats just my opinion so, yea...

I wouldnt even care if you get a LSD with the car or not...the LSDs come with the cars that have HICUS.... sux..and they are V-LSD...Viscous LSD after a certain period or long track runs dont work as well anymore after 3-4 laps... I had VLSD on my car for a week and trew it away... KAAZ LSD is the way to go, TOMEI, and many other Aftermarket LSDs... and NO Phantom grip....Pfffttttt!! hahahaha

Suspension, get Teins if you want, I had HKS Hypers and they were AWSOME and i also had JIC magics and they were....AWSOME...and i had some Cusco's and they were AWSOME!! loll just depends on what you like....

KA24DE turbo=Good or bad? Depends on how much money you have..If you got loot, GO BUILD THE KA!!.PERSONALLY Id perfer swapping a SR20DET in there...Build that and you get the bang for your bucks...I threw away 2 KA's...well sold them for 20bux...Dont really like them..dont get me wrong but they are good once they are built..bigger displacement...But i just didnt want to...

Exhaust....HKS Hi-power.....IF you have a NA get the regular one, they also have a turbo edition thats 85mm....On 240s, you dont really have any problems with it being loud so choose watever, it wont sound bad... Most exhaust out there that they make by Apexi, HKS, Greddy or watever sound great, havent heard of any sounding bad except when they Gut out the cat or run a strait pipe on a SOHC KA...my friend has that LOUD AS HELL and backfires lol....

.....need anything PM me...I got parts too...Questions/Comments...i'll help..bad comes to worse, need more help...www.240sxforums.com

i appreciate the info... i've been digging through my SCC mags for 240sx and silvia info, and joined nissanforums.com yesterday. im also gonna start cuising 240sx.org for all the info i can get.

I'm putting 20K+ miles on my car every year so I need as few miles as possible. I have several months until I plan on buying (unless a good deal slaps me in the face) so opening up the market for more cars isn't that big of a deal.

I hadn't thought about the LSD being viscous... yeh I guess that's going in the trash... I wasn't terribly worried about whether or not it had it... it would have just been a nice thing to have from the start, as I dont plan to modify the car until it's paid off (about a year after i buy it)

I have a 98 with 49xxx miles that I will be selling. The prices of s14's have gone up, especially 97-98's. Good luck finding a 5spd with low miles. You most likely will have to drive to another state to find one, search autotrader.com to get an idea.

My stock KA was turbocharged for over 7000 miles without a problem.

i figure 8k for a '98 or '97 with lower miles

I like the idea of the larger displacement better

CA motors are hard to find and old... the idea of a steel block is nice, but i'd be afraid i'd blow that shit up and then not be able to find parts

as for all motor... i don't plan on going crazy with NA upgrades... but i've had to move back in with my parents so until i buy a house i don't have a place where i could put a KA24DE (T) or SR20DET on a stand and build it correctly.

the all motor would be a more convienent alternative until i have a garage to make into a shop

well i learned something today. what i found when i googled it was that the 89-94 240s(S13s) had HICAS (AWS) just in the hatchbacks. it didnt say anything about the HICAS in the S14s so i would assume it wasnt offered in them
