Try for a 94-95. You'll want the extra torque + power that the 1.8L offers over the 1.6L, and you'll probably want OBDI instead of OBDII. But any 94-97 is good if you aren't really into major hp mods or anything.

just got back from VIR today!!! i didnt ever drive and im hooked.

I've done ViR twice with MDA and I can't wait to go back.. it's so much fun

I autocross as much as possible, but it's just not the same. Albiet, I don't think road driving is harder than autox, lines are still just as important, and braking, looking ahead, and exit speed are all there as well.

 

I was at the same autox, it was my first time, but not my last . I am in the 3rd pic(back of my head). It was hot as hell, but it was a good time.

 

I was the one with the camera, the driver in most of those pics was my dad. The last two pics, I am driving.

 

Good stuff, you and your dad were tearing it up. The miata handles pretty well in stock form
