as a honda owner, i cant speak much on mustangs. but honda wise, ive heard dynamax with cat and res sound raspy as can be. i currently have no cat and a short res and a magnaflow, its not to raspy. when i had my old exhaust before i went to 2.5", i had a high flow cat, 18" res 2.25" mandel and a magnaflow, i never turned the head of one officer and i got many compiments on the sound.

I liked the way it looked (they way it sounded second) remember, I want to keep stock tips and don't really want to start hacking on brand new, $400+ system.

Here's my rules on mufflers for cars:

4cyl: Magnaflow
6cyl: Flowmaster or glasspack of some kind
8cyl: straight pipes, resonators, glasspacks, all sound good if on the right car.

If I could duplicate the sound of my MAC with just a muffler, that would be my ultimate goal. I didn't like the MAC system though, yes it had an awesome sound, but it looked and fit like shit. So you say Magnaflow sounds like MAC, and its stainless..... hmmmmm this could be what I end up with then.

Doesn't a 4V 4.6 sound different than a 2V 4.6 though
