nitrous in the right hands is a wonderful mod , not just used to spray in the motor but for cooling fuel and intercoolers aswell. And please explain why nitous is for babies , thats the dumbest thing i have ever heard , came from a bunch of people who were pissed when they got beat because they got sprayed on when they could have beat the spray car if he didnt have it , shit , you could say the same to a turbo car , "I could beat you if you didnt have that turbo." A power adder is a power adder, wtf is the problem , are we not all into making our cars faster ???? Cry me a river.

nitrous is an oxidizer....it doesnt explode....

it merely assists combustion. how do you get more power out of an engine? an engine is nothing more then an air pump....the more air you can get in, the more air you can get out, the more power you have.


nitrous is a chemical way of inducing addtional air into your engine.....add the appropriate amount of fuel to compensate, and there is instant power.


granted, its not gentle on the engine, esp when you start getting into higher power jet settings, etc. engines are not designed to take a sudden 100hp (or more) jolt (at least, not without appropriate build)


however, if you build a SYSTEM (read:fully designed engine internals, heads, cam selection, ignition system, fuel, etc) to work with it, it is a beautiful thing.

the people that say bottles are for babies generally have some sort of vendeta against it. WHEN USED PROPERLY, it is an effective power adder. however, LIKE ALL MODIFICATIONS if not done correctly, they can and will cause catostraphic damage (which is pretty damn cool to look at sometimes, as long as it isnt yours )


i am one that doesnt see a problem with it, it falls into the "performance" catagory. of course, i am one that also doesnt care what kind of car it is (well, most of the time.....) as long as its fast, cleanly done, and is in my tastes, i like it.


even hondas...(although it is a rare occasion. the only one i have seen so far that has really impressed me is that leapfrog hatch...it is one hella fast machine!)

I don't know what the hell no2 is but if you are gonna talk about something you should atleast get the chemical formula right. N2O. 2 parts nitrogen 1 part oxygen. Sounds to me like somebody got the whiff of spray and didn't like the result. Nitrous is a fun toy.
