Who knows, maybe I got a freak car, but I tend not to believe in that shit seeing as how it could only make maybe 10hp more or so. That slight increase shouldn't give me ½ second increase though.
I wouldn't think 10hp would give you a 1/2 second, maybe a 1/10.

i say keep the gti and do the drivetrain/turbo upgrade....but if you're set on rwd or awd, that probably will not satisfy you..

More stuff to consider: I know there are other cars in the price range that I can get that people gravitate towards such as Supras or RX7s, but I don't want to get a 10 year old car that still cost me $20k.
there is a reason why they STILL cost that much. great power, strong engine ect. most have high mileage at low prices. i did just buy another supra with only 67k on the odometer . good deals are out there. i thought 350z's were 30k plus?

What exactly are you do you plan on using the car for?

Fun daily driver with decent acceleration and handaling, auto-x, or straight line speed?

I assume you leaning towards a drag car since you want either RWD or AWD, because you don't necessarily need those two to have a good handaling car.

The Track models are, but you can get one for under 28k since they all have the same motor and suspension, so the cheaper models are not that bad of a deal. Plus the used ones are going for under or around 24k depending on the car.
