Anyone have/have access to a fender roller?
the amount you can roll your fenders before you get paint damage depends on a few things, namely how good the paint is, how much heat you apply, and how gentle you are with the roller.
as for fender liners, a lot of the times, if you need a fender roller to begin with, your wheel/tire combo and ride height is such where you won't/can't use them anyways.
mayday, if you get one, get to know the drifters in the area... they're always looking to roll fenders.

Shit, I've always wanted to buy a bead roller and do the same rental thing so everyone can edge bead their intercooler piping..

bump....anyone? My tires in front look like slicks now and I can't survive on the fact they have 180 treadwear and the asphalts hot any longer....
can someone help me to understand something.....
When you use a fender roller doesn't that crack the paint? Are you rolling the inside of the fender well or the actual painted portion of the fender/quarter? I've always wondered this.

I'm rolling the inner lip. It will possibly mess up some of the paint, I was working on getting some extra fenders, but the car was taken from Chesterfield Auto Parts before I got to get the fenders from it. If it is done gently and heat is applied it usually can be done without damaging the paint, if a roller is used. I've done it many times using things like baseball bats and dowels and rolled them out but you A) Can't roll as much B) Can't control it as well and C) Damage the paint doing it that way. If done with a roller properly it can be done a lot with out damaging the paint.
