What about Dalhback ? It's become the new craze.

I've also heard good things about ProImports, that's probably where I'll get my Revo done (Revo cuz I'm an '03, and I LOVE that Audi still pays for EVERYTHING including brake pads, clutch plates, wiper blades, ALL maintainance, etc... I don't wanna ruin that )... but hey, if you've got the hookup... then go for it.

Does GIAC do software only (port) tuning yet? or only hardware swaps still?
Pro-import is another good shop to get your work done. I beleive they are the only shop in the MD area that supports Revo. Actually you can buy a used factory ECu for much less. I bought mine from audiworld and swapping ecu takes less than 5 mins. Its only 4 screws to remove the cover on the ecu. Giac does mobile tuning I believe. I would contact david/mike @ proimport or Ed@ Induktion for giac "410-684-3900". You can tell him Marvin sent you at Induktion and maybe he'll give you a good price. I got my stage 3 K04s done at the shop and honestly they do OUTSTANDING work. Mat is a audi master tech @ induktion. You can't go wrong with either shop. good luck

GIAC definetly does serial port tuning. It has been done to my R32 by Chris at Curry's. Great people and Richmond is a lot closer than MD.

Chipping is usually an import word, domestics don't do it so much. It refers to modifying the programming of the ECU which in turn can change things like boost, timing, etc... to increase performance.

I'd personally go for the APR chip.

why? They don't make the most power and their chip does not have better drivability than the others. I personnaly can't stand APR anyways. Do some searches on vwvortex to see how they conduct business.

Sonny Lowe (SLowe Racing) is an UpSolute rep. Their chips are no where near as powerful as the other options, but still perform decently and are $200 cheaper than the other chip manufacturers.

Different programming selections, according to alot of dynos they have a much smoother power curve. Unless alot of things have changed since I owned a VW.
