My first autocross vids!
Watching the vid I'm pretty amazed at how close it looks like the rear wheels are about to come up... twice it looks like they're actually BARELY touching the ground, or not at all.
Stay stock until you feel that the tires are holding you back to a point that you get irritated and know you could do better with stickier tires. Then get 710s (race rubber) and stay in stock. Seat time is most important.
Battlebart - Sure! Go to http://www.autocross.us - In the main forums, check out the event coverage forum. It will help you find local events, how to sign up for them, and when/where they are.
Dont hesitate to post, and ask how things work, etc! The guys local here are always eager to help out new people.
Im still very new myself, and I wont be at the next event... But maybe Jim, or Pete, or someone else can help you out

i wanna get into it, but it looks confusing from watching the videos with cones everywhere how do you know the exact path? if their were white lines to follow wouldnt be bad at all.
Its not that bad. When you get to an event, you have time to walk the couse several times. If you are new, make sure you can walk with an experienced person, and have them help you.
It may look like a sea of cones in the video, but in reality, its all comes together when you put the helmet on.
