No, do it. Helps traction alot! I think there's actually a kit for that on www.nopi.com if you search around a bit. It was hard to find. Look hard. It's there.

ok look. if you do a widebody kit, you dont get wider axles to make up for the space-you get wider wheels with some gnarly ass offset to do it.
