Turned In the Plate
Hey Brett,
Speaking from experience, it doesnt sound like much work, but it is a pain in the ass to keep changing bike from street to race and race to street. Plus if you wreck at the track than you cant ride on the street till it is fixed. If i could afford to get another bike, i would and keep the R6 as a track only bike.
Anyway what bike did you get?

yea the 1000 has been doing double duty, its not a huge deal to change street/race but i'm a lazy son of a bitch... but if i use the 600 as my sole bike i'm going to be riding alot less on the street, and i'll keep most of the street parts on it so it will be easier to go between the two
i can afford both bikes and i very well might keep the 1000, but i want to get a house in the next year or two and if i wait til then to sell it then i run the risk of having an accident with it or having 50k miles on it and no one will want to touch it, so its a matter of whats probably really in the long run smart for me to do, or what i want to do now... but i've got the two other cars i never drive and a ton of bike parts to sell so i won't really think about selling it until i've sold the other crap i don't use first, come spring though i'll probably put her up for sale, if someone gives me what i want then good, if not i'll keep it
oh its an '04 gsx-r 600, as soon as it first came out i said if i ever sell my 1000 its only to get one of those and everyone is like 1000 to 600 are you crazy, but here i am now

yea, i know what you mean, i'm in the same boat as you.
i was hoping to work in Florida for atleast 6 months, but i ended up only staying there for 6 weeks, because we were unable to get more contracts. i made good money when i was there, just wish it lasted longer. i am back in the office right now and it has been so boring and slow that i am uncertain about my future with my company, and thats why i am holding off on buying a home. i need to make sure i will be able to make monthly payments.
what happened to the f4i?
