Paint the hood? Ideas pleez.....
all cf looks too plain and it's been done. the idea on the z looks more thought provoked. do what you want not what everyone else does. that's what makes a car "custom"

Sorry - I think I picked up the last set
Have you tried Evolution Motor Sports? They have a full shipment of LE and TE's coming in a new black/polished lip finish coming in February. I know most of these are in S2000 offsets, but they also do a whole lot with Z's (they are also a Seibon distributor
). I think Discount Tire Center might be wrong (or I could be wrong) because Volk just started doing almost every wheel in different black coats........but........when you say "Black Chrome" do you mean "Diamond Black"?Evolution: http://www.evolutionautosports.com/home.htm
your vents are bigger than the hood on the 350Z, so the same effect (to me at least) wouldn't look as good. as for fading the whole hood from body color to CF, i'd really have to see an example. my vote is to paint the whole thing body color.
There are two black finishes I know of. RBC and the Diamond Black you mention. They have a RMC finish which is just a chrome looking finish (same wheels on the silver G35 with the body kit I pictured above). The RBC finish is being discontinued...the Diamond Black is available but too close to pure black for me. I don't like the LE or TE wheels as I prefer the two piece Winnings or Challenges. Thanks for the information.

You really think the Diamond Black is close to pure Black? I have the Diamond Black GT-C's and that black is super metallic. But we're getting a bit off subject now - I like the hood painted

And here's a close up on Diamond Black - the picture does the metallic finish no justice.
