never heard of the side by side thing before have always rode side by side and even when we are doing poker runs and the cops are there we are side by side and they dont say anything

When I took the MSF, they specifically stated that riding side by side is illegal, the proper way is to ride staggered. I've done it several times and I never got busted but I have seen 2 guys just sitting at a light side by side, and when they took off together, a cop pulled them over.

yea its illegal... i think riding side by side in the same lane is dumb, but pulling next to each other at a stop light i think everyone does, i usually try not to if i see a cop around but i have plenty of times and never gotten a second look, but if they want to pull you they can

Well I don't think being side by side stopped at a light is illegal. As long as one person goes first when it's green and not both of you, the cop shouldn't pull you over.

no, its illegal period... chances are he probably won't stop you because either most don't know or don't care, but he can because its against the law... just like riding with your face shield flipped up, its illegal, but i've never heard of anyone being ticketed for that

did you hear mike from honda house got arrested for that, taking his hand off the bar to scratch his back... reckless driving, he could actually have spent time in jail

I heard he got a ticket, not the arrested part. If he was arrested for it then of course he coulda had jail time.
