well you got the shaft. And I bet they order all parts from the dealer too? I can guarantee that they use aftermarket fenders and bumpers all the time...

holy shiet, that paint job on the car is swweeeeet. I wish I could have taken pics of my car damage before I took it in to show u guys. It wasn't really that bad, the most fuked up part is that the exhaust got bent all the way in. The girls insurance company said they need proof of my buyin the exhaust like an invoice, but I bought it from this guy in d.c. used 8- ( hopefullly he still has the invoice, and the insurance will give me money if I show them how much it costs. Man I had my car being estimated and etc since wednesday, this shiet really sucks man. If that girl never hit my car we woulda never been in this situation. Hopefully her insurance will pay for my exhaust. I have the buschur turboback catless system, I really liked it. Brand new costs 1100 right, and the guy told me to pay for it first and then he will give me the money. That sounded really weird, isn't he supposed to give me a check or a written statement first, stating that he will in fact pay me. I knew something was wrong, so I waited and left that guy millions of messages and he never returned my calls yet. I will wait for them to first give me a check, because I found a greddy titanium catback (catless) for a very very good price brand new 8- ) Wish me luck pleasee, if they don't gimmie the money for the exhaust I'll most likely just get a brand new buschur tb again.

The insurance company will do it one of two ways from my experience:

1. Cut you a check for everything: repairs and whatever compensation you maybe entitled to. You are then to pay for the repairs from that money and whatever is left over is yours.

2. Cut you a check for compensation and they'll pay for the repairs directly.

What I'd do if I were you is find out what needs to be replaced on the exhuast and call the dealership and find out what the MSRP is on the exhaust. Then compare that to what the new exhuast you want will cost. If they are close or the aftermarket is cheaper than stock work something out with the shop. They should be more than willing. The only thing is that they more than likely won't keep your car around forever waiting on parts that are custom or aftermarket. Also, when I had a car rear ended and took it to one stop, they sent the car elsewhere to get the exhuast work done.

Be honest with your insurance company because I was in the same boat a few months ago. I got rear-ended and the axle back section of my Buschur TBE was damaged. The adjuster asked me if the exhaust was aftermaket and I reluctantly said yes. She stated that it was okay and and actually encouraged me to make a list of the parts on my car with an invoice stating the value. The reason for this is that most aftermarket parts are much cheaper than OEM. OEM prices are what our insurance rates are based off of. Once I provided the list to my insurance company they adjusted my premium to reflect the replacement cost of the aftermarket parts. My monthly insurance bill dropped by about 25 dollars. USAA is trying to encourage this to place pressure on the OEM parts producers to lower their replacement prices, thus lowering their insurance operating costs, and finally trickling the savings down to the consumer by being able to offer lower quotes.

sounds nice, Im gonna try to find out the price of the oem exhaust, some did in fact tell me it does cost more than the buschur. Since I don't have an invoice for the buschur exhaust (Which I bought used), I will just give them an invoice of how much the factory exhaust cost from mitsubishi. More than likely, they will give me more money now, they shoulda just gave me the money for the aftermarket exhaust like I asked, but no, they want to bitch around. Anyway, I'll keep you guys informed, and let ya know what happens tomorrow.

Hell get the same result as he would Coxtons, and if insurance pays for it, then he can go either way.

Reason I say this is because all of One-stops bodymen are from Coxtons.

Coxtons has a 10x nicer facility.

the girl's insurance company isn't trying to give me money so I can go shop around for the best prices and etc. I didn't get a chance to call the guy who I bought my exhaust from before, he might have the invoice. But I checked up on the stock evo exhaust price, its 1700 not includding shipping. Didn't get a chance to see how much a rear bumper is, but my guess its pretty expensive from the factory. I don't want them to repair shit, I want them to give me money for NEW parts instead of trying to repair stuff. The body shop I took my car to said that my exhaust is unrepairable, but Nationwide says they wanna take a look at it themselves and take it to MEineke. Fawking meineke, I would never take my damn car there for any exhaust even if they can fix it. Im sooooooo pisssed right now, if nationwide doesn't pay up I will have to sue them, I don't know what else to do so, we will se what's up. Hopefully they will contact me asap, but most likely it will be monday 8- (
