if you slightly increase the size on crush bent piping then it doesnt really matter. crush bent 2.5 inch is perfect for 4 cylinder NA engines. youre only looking for around 200 bucks for a complete cat back system and its fully covered by warranty at big als.

crush bent is fine for a street car. flow restriction doesnt even matter on a street setup. and come to the big al's on 1613 independence blvd if you want a good price and if you want to make sure your "welds dont get all fucked". btw, no place around here does mandrel bends to my knowledge because that kind of bender is $$$$.

for a downpipe, high flow cat, and the rest of the exhuast $1k isn't to terribly bad. I know that would cost over $1k for a vw.

crush bent isnt going to give you any noticable difference as opposed to mandrel bent, unless you are running a high horsepower turbo'd car.

Why step up to aftermarket crush-bent when oem is crush-bent?

if your motor is stock there really is no reason to. if you actually have some work done to where helping the motor to breathe than it would help just as well as mandrel bent would. its a larger diameter piping, so even being crushed, it still flows better than the stock exhaust.
