I don't get it I guess.

I think the dry performance and the price are well worth the reduced wet performance. Besides. if you're driving hard enough in the rain to have problems with these tires you should bitch about your shitty driving, not your tires

well, damn. i wish i would have known where to get them locally for 300 picked up in va bch. i called a bunch of places but, no luck. i've heard they suck in the wet too .. but drive safely and it shouldn't matter. Most of the "spirited" driving is done on dry days anyways. Honestly, i wanted a decent performing tire for not a lot of money, and the tread pattern looks nice too. I think i read somewhere that the tires are scca approved or something, but that doesn't apply to me.
The purpose of my original post was to let people know about the place i purchased the tires from, not to start a debate on what's better or best. When i make a smooth purchase of something, i like to share the experience so that it may assist other people in locating what they need. If only i'd have known about 300 locally i'd have saved 29 big ole' greenbacks. Nonetheless, just to let everyone know,it was a decent transaction.

They are really good in the rain and a lot of people use them as their rain tires at auto-x. They do suck going through standing water. Just put two hands on the wheel when entering puddle.
I have a set on 16's that use for auto-x and track events. The only reason I dont use them for daily driving is because they dont last to long, and they are heavy.
The new Azenis 615 are finally available,
