Im surprised this question hasnt been brought up before. Even mounted on the back of the backseat, the amp is still vulnerable to wanton cargo rollage.

Thanks
a little tip:
buy some stand-offs or spacers that are about 1/4" or 'taller' than your amplifier is. the stand-off's in conjunction with the expanded steel grate will protect the amp and leaves room (if there is some sort of heavier impact) for absorption of impact. the expanded steel grate is also great since the heatsinks are still clear for heat dissipation.

assuming your amp is mounted to your sub box, if it were me I'd buy some plexiglass, cut out a nice rectangular shape a tad bigger than your amp and use some screws & spacers to hold the plexiglass about 1/4" above your amp. If you feel like messing around with it you can always cut some slats or some sort of a pattern into the plexiglass too, that way you would still be able to see your amp + it would still get some air. Surrounding it with metal is a bad idea, it needs air flow

kay gee plastics, norfolk plastics, aim plastics (don't know if they are still around)...other places also, just depends on the thickness you need.

No, its not. But thanks for the suggestion.

Im going with some expanded steel grate. Most of the time I have my backpack in my trunk which tends to roll around and I dont want it to roll on my precious amp.
