that gixxer 1k is awesome!!!

 

i love can't say enough about the new tail section. for once, the gixxer has a phat tail like the r1 and r6. but i ABSOLUTELY HATE those signals. can you take them out? the can isn't bad i think, but an aftermarket can would look better IMO. I love the new plastics all around though. Must be nice to have a new bike.

Looks real nice del. I'm a honda fan, but I'd rock it. Except for the can. I'm not sure what they were thinking on that one. Good luck with it though.

 

You are the man! That thing may not be the best looking 1000, but it is definitely the most powerful and more than likely the fastest. You got a dyno at your shop, Del?

 

naw still don't even have 40 miles on it yet... but trust me once i break it in its going on the dyno asap

 

geez have no faith in yahama do you haha. Your only talking what? a few 10th's in the straight away. If that... Nothing noticable to a ride who doesnt drag proffesionally

 

a few tenths STILL has the first place over second. I know that it is up to the person sitting on the bike and not the bike itself, but it helps to have superior machinery. Oh, and I do have faith in the Yamaha. Always have. IMO, the Yamaha is right there with the Suzuki, but it's numbers are a bit lower.

Del, let me know when you put it on the dyno! I'll come up to Richmond and we can have a comparison. What you think?

 

from all dyno runs i've seen so far it should one up the R1 and ZX10, but your right they are all so good that it really does not matter, and next year the R1 will beat it again, and then the next year after that the gixxer will be king again, its just like leap frog every two years, unless you count honda in which case its monkey in the middle lol

00 you should come to our open house dyno shoot out, since i'm an employee i won't be entering but probably throw it on there just to see how it stacks up, but i'm sure i will have run it by then and will post up results, check my other post for info about the open house shoot out
