Jefferson accident
it's all different when you know the people
If my friends stole my car, they aren't my friends. They can die. I have little to no remorse for the death of stupid people. Natural selection should be in full force.

Sorry to hear they didn't make it. I think all of us on this board with any gonads have seen 120 before, that isn't shit, I was up to 140 this weekend with my girlfriend heading up to Williamsburg, and I've been up to 165 before. The point is we do dumb shit all the time, but it doesn't look stupid when nothing bad happens. It's when you fuck up that it all comes back around.

Sure people do things that in hindsight probably weren't smart. If you get from the peninsula to southside in 20 minutes you aren't stupid, you just drive fast. When you get in an accident doing the same thing you're a moron ... that's just how it goes. If something like that happens it's unfortunate, but that's life.
However when you have MULTIPLE such things occuring at the same time it does suggest something about the people involved. Speeding ... in the rain ... on one of the busiest streets on the peninsula ... in a stolen car. Why am I supposed to feel sympathetic for them again?
I think reXer said it best in that it changes when you know the people involved. My views are one from an unaffected third party. But even if I knew the people involved really well I'd still think they were idiots ... idiots that happened to be my friends.

If you drive from the peninsula to the southside in 20minutes you ARE stupid. What does it prove? "Woopty Fucking Doo! I can drive from the Peninsula to the Southside in 20minutes" Weaving in and out of traffic is not cool. Endangering other peoples lives is not cool. It's just as gay as comparing how fast your car is by how many gears you can chirp. Just like racing an inexperienced driver who happens to own a fast car, just because you beat him doesn't mean you can take all drivers who own the same kind of car.
I can do it in less than 30 minutes going 70... why is 20 minutes being stupid? Hell in 30 minutes I can make it to the pavillion from NN doing reasonable speeds... the HRBT is way before 264.
