Why people snap axles with slicks is becuase they dont under stand how to launch with slicks( Its all in the tire pressure and luanching technique, the ones who snap axles are dumbasses). Also your opinion is biased on us poor N/A heads. LOL we also can achieve low 60ft times with n/a power.

Well you got ur "before" time. After you've modded the engine a bit, go back and get your "after" time.

I guess I am still in the dark.

Id rather know how my car reacts on street tires then slicks because atleast I know what it will do on the street and how I will drive the car every day. Slicks to me unless you make 400whp is just over kill and is to costly on parts. its WAY to much traction for daily driven cars and will snap axles (if stock and some that are aftermarket) sooner or later and break diffs ect ect. Id rather spin just a little grab traction and go. but maybe thats just me?
Some of us don't enjoy trapping 110-111 mph and only running 13.6's and 13.7's. I did a 14.2 @ 111 once.

Think I like telling people my old 320 whp set up was only good for mid to high 13's because I ran on khumo 712s and all stock suspension?

I'd actually have killed just for a set of azenis.

kinda the same situation im in. im pulling 2.0's occasionally on all seasons and open diff. best time is a 14.4, but that is with the suspension setup in such a way that it COULD NOT be driven on the street. once i make a lil more than 150hp in a 3000pound car it might go somewhere. i'd say the car is probably good for upper 14s on the street. i'd try to run a set of stickier tires if the diffs werent so shitty. there's different ways to look at it...though i dont race on the street often there is cars out there that stay side by side with me that run 15.0's...see me on the track and they will be 5+ cars back without a chance. i just dont care about the street so much anymore.

When you make more torque than WHP that will happen. Nothing a good pair of slicks mated with some 300gt vr4 rims cant fix.

well lil kikr

Ill vouch for you. You did very well for first time drag racing on slicks.

There is lil improvements that can be done but overall for first time everything... Did very well.

OH yeah... now you just need to upgrade and get a K20a R.....

Yea azenis werent meant to be used on the drag strip, have a very stiff side wall. The most optimum street tires for the track would be BFG drag rads.
