Because everytime that argument is brought up someone with a smaller displacement motor says something to the tune of "Well my turbo makes up for the displacement". Ok well the guy with the bigger displacement can put a turbo on his car too then what happens. There's no replacement for displacement when both cars are equally modded.

You can't put boostfed's car against mine just because I have a V8 and he has a 4 cylinder. He has a built to the fucking brim motor and a turbo for a semi on that bitch.

That was just an example.

seriously? all bullshit aside? your argument is crap. i'm not trying to start a shit-talking war, i'd just like to get the ages old "forced induction vs. displacement" thing out of the way. there are a million ways to prove that there REALLY is no replacement for displacement. the easiest way i think to inform you in your case is to take a honda b-series stroker kit, for example. if displacement really doesn't mean shit, then why is this such a major mod?

for real, though, let's just take a step back and look at the bigger picture. sure, your boosted type r is a pretty damn quick car. mid 12s, i think i've seen you post on here? that's very respectable, and i'm sure you beat your fair share of v8s. but think about it- the b18c5 is already a very strong 4-cylinder, i would even go so far as to say it is to the 4-cylinder world what an ls1 is to the v8 world. you're taking that and turbocharging it, to produce about the same power as a stock ls1. and yours runs slightly quicker than a stock ls1 camaro (that would be due to power vs. weight, but we won't even bring that up). do you see where i'm going with this? there really isn't any comparison. and the reason most people with v8s don't choose to turbocharge is 1) it's not quite as easy as fabricating one little manifold, running some tubes and getting more fuel as it is on a 4, and 2) it isn't absolutely necessary to make good power like it is for a 4. i've never seen an all-motor honda make more than 270 whp, and that was an s2000 which from the factory makes over 200.
