I think the key words in that code are bumper bar (or crash bar) with sits mid bumper, not at the bottom of the bumper

but if you take your factory bumper off you can see the bumper bar, which is mid bumper on my car...

You're right. I work with a Hampton cop, and he said that they are given the right to estimate too. He said that if its close, dont worry about it. But all cops are different. And localities can have different laws than the state.

well let me put a word in.....ehh hemm....ok it's from the bumper mount...if it was from the bottom of the bumper then Vets and my car and a lot of other cars wouldn't be legal stock from the factory.....so it's official.....from the bumper mount got guys....good

oh yeah and dropping a car wouldn't be to good, you might break it...

lowering you're car in anyway would be altering the suspension therefor would be illegal.....raising the vehicle would be the same.....but hey man F THE POLICE right?
