hmmm yeah the pics are not that clear but I am pretty sure they are work miester 2pc. I know they are not proffesors for sure. I dont see why 18x9 is a problem with correct disk/offsets and maybe a fender roll.
I had 18x9's on my evo with no modifications.
Now about the way the car looks. I think people are getting confused with the stance vs the looks of the wheels. Because those wheels are hot but that car looks retarded with those wheels. It needs to come down atleast another 3 inches. I hate when people do shit like that...totally negated the fact he has nice wheels.
