I had some gears put in my mustang at MAS, shortly after my pinion seal starts to leak. I take it back to get it fixed; I was told the seal was not in correctly so they replaced it. Shortly after that, it starts leaking again. So I never did take it back and I will never go there again. I will take my shit up to Richmond before taking it to any shops in this area.

 

The way I look at it every person is gonna have their own opinion on shops. I don't let any of their opinions bother me unless there are A LOT of complaints.

Every shop around here has had their fair share of complaints, but also their fair share of praises to even it out.

 

This is true, but if this is how SMS has treated me, then imagine the others.

 

Richmond is close to me as well, about 30mins, sure a hell of a lot closer and an easier drive then to SMS.

 

Yeah I hear you. I was just trying to say that I've heard good things and bad things about every shop around here. I've seen respectable cars come from every one of their shops. The reason I mentioned MAS is because I've known Charles (judge) for a while. I've seen him work on vehicles up there and he does a damn good job. I've also talked to Sean and Skip on quite a few occasions and they're stand up guys. J

 

Seems you guys are damn near in Richmond, have you tried Kevin's (FlodaSe-R)? I think its Peformance....... Something.. I'll go search in a second..

Performance Autosport.. All I hear is good things about them.. Maybe you should give them a try seems it would be a hell of alot shorter drive..

 

He was the one that was going to do my gears. But his install was $250 and SMS comes out to $400-$199 for 4.10 FRPP, pinions, oil, etc. So I'd say SMS did mine for about $150.

I should've got you to do mine, since I had Diablo to reset speedo anyways.
