It really does, yeah. That's because it sounds much more like a flat plane crank engine. That header design almost turns a crossplane crank V8 into a flatplane crank V8 because of the cylinder combination at the collector.
Do you know what kind of distance is required for it to be effective? I mean, there really isn't any room to do it in a FR car, unless you have the headers go forward and have an exhaust that exits at the front of the vehicle.
Oh, very interesting! When I was watching it I was like what the hell kind of car is that? I thought it had similar body lines to the Pantera but it wasn't as good looking.

Yeah, I actually thought the same thing about the Mangusta. It's a good looking car IMO, but the Pantera was better. The Mangusta also didn't handle nearly as well as the Pantera either. As far as the sound goes, they sound incredible to me. At one of my old jobs there was a guy who had a black GTS version. Every time he would start it up/bring it in the parking lot, it would literally shake/vibrate the windows in the building...
