I put over 10k miles on my R1 last year alone only riding it on the weekends, it gets good parts because I put them to good use.

Explain to me the benefit of running authentic LM's on my G35 aside from the fact that they would be authentic?

To reiterate, I'd gladly run a solid red/black cap that doesn't display 'BBS'. In the end, it doesn't matter, even if I run BBS caps the only person it's going to affect is yourself.

i dont think there is anything wrongwith somefake bbs`, as long as you admit they are fake and not try to lie about it. ide love to have a set of the genuine thing but ide also be more paranoid about theft given the shear cost difference. also would much rather use some fake ones for DD.

way i figure if the car looks nice and your not trying to bullshit anyone ...than who cares?

Exactly, if the car isn't purpose built then no one should care. I see perfect reason to jump on someones case if they're running replicas at the track, safety in mind. I see nothing wrong with running expensive wheels on a car that only takes you to work and back being that's purely the owners choice.

Out of all the folks I have met, the only people that tend to complain about replicas are those that can barely afford them, it must come off offensive that it took them however long to get 'the real thing'. People that have managed their money well and do not have to pinch every penny to pick up a set of authentic wheels usually could care less about replicas. Example, jump on a BMW forum, many of them give two sh!ts about replica wheels with the majority owning the real thing.

it really has nothing to do with being a benefit but the fact that the replicas make the legit wheels worth drop.

Big deal. That comment goes hand in hand with my earlier comment about people that are smart with money.

There's always going to be high quality, forged, multi-piece wheels, the companies may come and go but they'll always be there.

even if youre smart with your money, it doesnt matter. Im pretty good with my money but i still hate to see when people put evo stickers on slips and shit.

This isnt only about wheels though. Look at greddy. They went bankrupt. Its said that alot of it had to do with all the ebay kits that were out there that were knockoffs of their turbos and what not.
