on topic:
I'm going to put the 3 inch lift on early next week.... and I also ordered my MBRP turbo back w/ a 5 inch tip today as well.... will be posting pics and maybe a vid with how it sounds!
This is my DD and off roader just got it a few weeks ago and plan on doing plenty more work to it. It's got 33's and a 2" suspension lift and a set of 15" Alloy Ion.
First 4x4 anything i've ever owned and built. 98 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0 Auto. Picked it up as a beater thinking I wouldnt modify it and just drive it. Gearheads cant leave anything stock as you can see from my pics. Found a cheap lift on craigslist, ad said 2 inch lift for 100 bucks. Picture of ad showed front springs, rear springs with shackles and 4 shocks. Figured why not lift it a little and put some 30's on it and be happy. Much to my surprise i get home and look up the front spring number and find out its part of a rusty's offroad 4.5 lift. I get some ideas in my head 4.5 lift 32's and be done with it. Install the lift and I run into needing more parts to make it work. Front lower arms were maxed out basically rested against the lower control arm brackets so I read on some forums about a decent set of lower arms. Long story short, I check out Iron Rock Offroad and pick up their long arm kit, 2 inch coil spacers, otk steering kit, rear shackle relocators, new u bolts and plates, 6 degree shims for the rear, front lower control arm brackets for the front axle and their hack n tap sye. Didnt stop there, I also rebuilt the front end with new upper and lower ball joints, hubs, front axle shaft ujoints, inner axle seals ,alloy tube seals and solid front and rear diff covers. Picked up a pair of tatton's cv driveshafts and 15x10 ultra 8 hole wheels for cheap, new 33x12.50r15 cordovan mud claws. So after its all said and done and a nice 3 inch grinder scar on my leg I have a 4x4 jeep that I'd like to go wheeling in somewhere and see what she can and cant do. Here are some pics. Been on this site for a couple years and never noticed the 4x4/offroad section till tonight lol.
First went to look at it.

Start of the lift

Front end rebuild

Found a hill and some mud
