9-11-01 I was at school in a tech lab. that morning. We were told a plane had flew into one of the towers in new york, when I got out to the student center the second plane struck. While watching in shock and horror a few min later my pager went off. 31 hours later I finally went home to get some sleep. The company I worked for had built the nypd-fd prs; when the towers fell so did their control station. We set up and programmed a complete mobile system along with thousands of handhelds to carry up there in the back of several eighteen wheelers.
