More than likely a Mustang Tremec or a Getrag. There are companies out there that make bellhousing adapters for various setups for Volvos. Those two trannies are the most common. I had the Tremec in my volvo wagon back in the day.
That TL is horrid, wheels fit wack, not only is the lip shitty fitting but it's cheapo depot ebay

This man knows about dope TLs. Before being parted out, Fizzy's TL -especially when it was on the CCWs- was the epitome of a dope Acura for me. I can't see another TL w/o comparing it to his and none measure up.
