Fuck no foxbodies arent cheap anymore. And thats fucking horseshit. I need anothe foxbody like pronto. I'm gonna have to buy a 4 cyl or a shell and just build one I guess. People wanting 5k for a 88 GT with rust holes in the rear 1/4s and 180k on the car is crap.

SRT4's are far from a race car. If they were they wouldnt have a turbo the size of a silver dollar, and they sure as FUCK wouldnt be FWD. They're just a quick neon, thats about it.

I met a guy yesterday who has a green 92 Lx with a built motor in it. The body is pretty decent, no rust , and 11XXXXmiles on it. Car just needs a little TLC in body work. He's asking 5grand and has all recipets for the car. Which I thought was cool

 

KBB tells you the 80s ones are worth about $1,000 or a little more depending on mileage. Asking 400-500% of what it's worth sucks.

 

No, the asking doesnt suck. Its the fact that they WILL get that much for it that sucks. I remember 4-5 years ago buying my Notchback 5.0 5 speed with 98k miles on it and it was an ex cali highway patrol car for all of $3500. I sold it two years after that for $3000 after I wrecked it and put 20k miles on it.

 

yeah, i was looking for a nice 5.0 to move up to (from my shitty, slow v6 stang), and right around 5k was everyone's asking price (of a 5.0 is decent condition), which sucked because my v6 is worth shit. *sigh*

 

My girl just traded her 92 lx 5.0 with quite a bit of engine work done for a horse + 3k cash. Think she definately won out on that deal
