You dont buy a miata for any sort of power. Thats just how it is. They're momentum cars, not drag racers.

NA started out at:

1990 Curb Weight: 2116 lbs.
1991 Curb Weight: 2182 lbs.
1992 Curb Weight: 2264 lbs.
1993 Curb Weight: 2222 lbs.
1994 Curb Weight: 2293 lbs.
1995 Curb Weight: 2293 lbs.
1996 Curb Weight: 2293 lbs.
1997 Curb Weight: 2293 lbs.
NB 1999 Curb Weight: 2299 lbs. (6 lbs more than the last year NA)

So I say it's fair to say that NA is around 2100 lbs.

I like all generations of miatas, my least favorite would have to be NB since it's a bit tight fit for me (6'3"). Trust me, I know miata is not a drag car, I had an Evo 8 before I bought the NC.
