completly stock, i want to open up the in and out air flow, roll bar, and possibly lower it, but i want to find lowering springs that still perform
Before you even do that, get a mspnp on miata-turbo.net from the guy that makes them. The stock ECU is complete shit, no tables to mod, more expensive to chip and program than a Pnp, horrible MPG, goes into open loop at 5k which is why it feels afterburner-y, insaneo rich, and more!
And just get Fortune auto coilovers. The stock shocks are WAY too hard for the springs and it's totally too hard for the street, especially if you come to RVA on a regular basis.
475/350 front:rear springs with a 1" bar up front and 'stock' mazdaspeed rear at just under 13" front and above 13" rear would be about perfect from all the reading and calculators I've been pouring through. They are too good with swift springs and re-valving and custom possibilities and local repair for the money. Also, shorter bumpstops will save your ass once you stiffen up the springs and they're truly linear.
