I just got back tot he house from running all over Norfolk and Virginia Beach, think I just put about 30 miles on the Ruck. But if I get the electrical installed today I will start fabbing the handlebars and seat frame.
Curious, are you guys just spray painting your stuff when you paint it?
I am. I just can't see investing paint/powder coating money into something I might drop when I can get similar results from about $40 worth of supplies. It's a lot of work but it also makes me take a little more pride in it which in turn makes me take better care of it.
Basically personal preference. I think you guys will be pretty surprised by how well it turns out.
I can tell you from experience, its just like any paint job. Use quality supplies, take your time, and prep prep PREP! I've painted plenty of bicycles, a few motorcycles, and numerous automotive body parts. All have stood up except when I didn't get enough coverage or I used cheap paint.
