Cycle whore thread
Blah, my shit died on me on the way to work and is at the dealer. Bike felt like it was cutting out and losing fuel and bogging, then died and wouldn't restart. Only has 2891 miles so maybe it is under warranty as it hasn't been a year yet.
Got a call back from the GM who asked me what happened
Now they have to run tests and commented that the +4 Factory ignition advancer I told them about might be the cause and the motor may be locked up. Of course that would void the warranty and i might be out 2 grand for a motor.
I gave them the ok to run the tests and all, but I can't see how an ignition advancer could lock the motor up. We will see.
If it is that(surprisingly as the hundreds I have seen people run) and my other bike that had one, I sure as hell won't have a motor put in by them. Got to pay to play i guess.

I am going to call Kawasaki Motors to start a case and go from there. I understand where they are coming from because I work as a Service Writer for a Subaru dealer.
I still say it is fuel issue.
They still have to look at it, but we have been putting ignition advancers in these engine for years and no issues. Besides if the motor was locked up, it wouldn't crank. I think he was just trying to prepare me for the worst.
