i see how this is going i didnt see a problem with this race at first but by what mm has on his car and how the rules are being setup is complete bullshit, we need a non bias person to set the rules up not the shop owner who is freinds with all the domestic guys

The rules have nothing to do with him, I can convert mine to e85, but im not spending 1500 bucks on injectors, another 2000 for another weldon pump, lines and fittings. Im not saying one way or another if it will be allowed, i want to see what the majority thinks about it first

In Maryland you can drive all day long and fill up all over the place. E85 is a DOT legal pump fuel and should be treated as such in competition. Don't like it? make the rules based on ethanol content, don't say pump fuel.

While I agree with a lot of what you've said in this thread, I think you're going overboard with some of this shit. Your answer to everything is "drive this distance", and you just adjust the distance to fit whatever you're trying to argue against. You don't need to drive a car across the state to prove it is a street car. I can drive my car wherever and get 200-300 miles to a tank. Whether I fill up at a station or with a jug is irrelevant when I can go that far on a tank I think.
The only reason I keep mention driving, is because we all know damn well people arent running E 85 around here to commute to work every day.

I'm one of the domestic guys!!!! Run whatever fuel you want... I don't give a shit!!!

If you can drive the thing to the track on slicks, do it and run!!!

This is a "street car" competition at which I'm not going to be the fastest anyway so I'm probably not the biased one (aka - your car is faster than mine)... Get it????

I just don't want to be put up against trailer queens and cars that haven't/won't ever see the street in the form that they are running.

OK, you're reading waaay to much into my posts, I only said Tennessee becaiuse that is the state that borders VA "across" the state.

There's your answer.

It's a street car thing. Who cares if you can or do daily drive it? Daily driven race cars are for high schoolers who have to make do with what mommy and daddy bought them.

Or for the select few people who are insane enough to drive heavily modified cars on a daily basis and put up with the maintenance.

A "daily driver" competition would be pretty cool though. Problem would be keeping it honest. too many guys call their seldom driven hot rod a daily driver.

Also, there is an E85 station in 757. You could daily drive it if you want.
