C'mon.....I get that the roof racks are "trendy" and whatnot.....but that is just trying too hard........

 

That is just about the coolest thing i've seen in while. At first I thought it had to be photoshopped until I scrolled down and saw the other pictures showing the front of the trailer.

 

i mean, i'm not 100% sure how the roof rack attaches, but the rack doesn't go down with the top. and maybe he actually BMX's or bikes. i know i'm going to get one for the cabby.

 

If he actually BMX's/bikes, then i'll retract my previous statement and eat my own words. But lets just be realistic for a moment........I love the stance/fitment scene as much as the next guy.....but the bike rack thing is getting out of control. You know damn well that half of these people have the racks on there just for looks, and have never....and will never.....put a bike on it.

most of the things posted in dope status, and stuff done to cars in general, is for looks. like that e46 four door posted a few back with the argyle interior; thats just for looks...but people dont get mad over that? stretched tires and wide wheels are just for looks. front lips and other exterior changes are just for looks for the most part (& i'm just talking about street cars). i can go on and on with stuff that serves no purpose but for aesthetics; and i don't see what the problem is. if they want a bike rack to make their car look different, then so be it. racks give cars a different look sometimes, and they do look good. yeah some people use it, some dont. but who fucking cares. im sick of rants about how people dont use them. half the shit you do to a car isnt so you can get "use" out of it.

 

yes, i will 100% agree with you. but i do believe this guy actually bikes, and i ride a bike too which is why i iwll have a rack on my cabby, but i will NOT cover it in stupid stickers and dumb bullshit

 

lol no I get what your saying man. "Agree to disagree" is the statement i'm looking for. Granted, in the end, its all based on opinion and what people like/dislike. I realize slamming your car to the ground, streching tires, and running copious amounts of camber isn't exactly aesthetic, yet we have all grown to love the look. But the bike rack thing though just strikes a nerve for whatever reason. Its as if everyone does it to be different......but they just wind up looking like everyone else. And, for example, stretching a tire is strictly for looks. Theres really no other purpose (save for bringing the car lower to the ground, which again in most cases, unless we're talking race cars, is for looks) that people do it. But a bike rack has a "real" purpose outside of looking trendy.

But all in all, don't listen to me. I'm @ work with nothing better to do than rant.....lol. Like I said.....its just my opinion.
