No this is not the only case. I auto-x with 4 of these damn things. I have talked to all of them. Any car can last for ever, even if you race. You just need to TAKE CARE OF IT. Damn Neon fucks.(now granted RX-8 POS)

Believe only 1 neon guy is arguing with you. The others I believe are a 240 and LS1 . Anyways, shouldn't you be saying if you race 'any' car alot, that it won't last...vs's last forever? No wonder you think rx-7's last forever =x And as said in a prev. post...rotaries don't have the r&d of other engines. Does it matter? Sure, it just goes to prove they're less reliable because of a lack of research...none the less, it's less reliable.

 

We didn't say they suck. They're saying that they're unreliable. The fact that one of them made 500hp NA, is fine, but there are MANY domestic motors that make WAY more than that.

 

how many of those domestic motors are 2.6L domestic motors?

 

Wonder how much hp some of those V8's would make with the amount of money that 2.6L got.

 

so the answer is no.. to a domestic 2.6l 500 hp engine.. just checking.

 

What would the point be? For less than half the cost of that motor you can have a v8 making more horsepower.
