I would check for falling fuel pressure and why you are at it, also check the coils to make sure no carbon tracks, burn marks, etc.

have you taken off the valve cover recently without replacing the gasket? i did this in my miata a few years back and got some oil in my sparkplug wells. the car would intermittently bog at higher RPMs.
