Those are LEDs. See most/all current Audi models for more details. They're used for daytime running lights (DRLs) and are very common in Europe where they are concerned with light pollution from using dimmed headlights as DRLs.

Only thing I don't like so far is the door handle area... wish they could have integrated that into the body better... shit, just use electric door poppers and have the door shaved!

I really like the quater panel line... looks a little C6ish to me which is a good thing.
