$450 is a pretty fair price.

Nah, I am all over DC everyday. Every garage I go in, I see cars that have done that. My ex did it and it really wasn't too bad once the lighter stuff was buffed out. The deeper ones were skim filled and spot painted. You could only tell it was there if you were really looking for it.
Yea I was pretty bummed for about an hour. Then I got some Georgetown Cupcakes and I felt better. Gotta love DC. I guess it makes me feel better that I'm not the only stupid driver who can't park. lol

Anyways, I'll just likely bring it to the shop. I almost bought a buffer and some cleaner, but the guy that helped was honest enough to say that I'm probably better off getting it professionally done.

problem solved.

Most body shops will just end up using Lava and Sandpaper anyhow, may as well save yourself the money and DIY.

$450 is a deal. It cost me $350 to paint a bumper only in the past. Make sure they use genuine paint and all that because this can be down with lower cost material.

This.

If you don't feel comfortable starting out with this, spray a small amount of brake parts cleaner on a rag, and work the area. The paint trade will be easy to remove, and then you'll have a better idea of what your actually working with. A good coat of wax will fix the clear coat fade from the cleaner.
