There is no physical way the amount of water you are describing could make its way through there, especially if the window is still contained in the seal

yeah, alright this is what a shop just said.... either 1 the windshield... or 2 the vapor barrior inside the door itself... which could have been broken due to my putting in custom speakers... but... honestly... do you think there could be water on the entire drivers side floor? (under dash, floor mat, and under seat)

The vapor barrier won't be the problem. It just keeps moisture that runs past the the window seals from damaging the door panels. Most all of the moisture will run right into the bottom of the door and out the drain holes. That won't have anything to do with water in your floorboard. You can take off your door panels, and the vapor barrier, and leave them off the car permanently and the only water you'll see will be inside the door.

The seal between the door and the chassis is a different story. It that is damaged or not seated properly that could cause problems, but most cars have the chassis setup such that water drains along that area of the chassis and not into the car interior if the seal leaks.

Could still be other stuff, there are various ways water can get in around the firewall below the windshield. Don't pay to get the windshield resealed until you can narrow it down a little more, or you may end up wasting your money and still have a leak.
