i'm too tired to check right now, but check the rules on the light weight crank pulley. i know it says something about them, but i can't remember what.

 

Doesn't he run SM? If so he is fine. If he runs SP he is also fine. I have pullies as well (just accessories, not the crank pulley) and my car is both SP (BSP) and SM legal.

 

no, he, as well as brett run in STX.

 

Pulley's won't take you out of STX or STS. The only thing that pulls me out of STS is the front mount intercooler, which I'm not getting rid of

F.Any accessory pulleys and belts of the same type (e.g., V-belt, serpentine) as standard may be used. This allowance applies to accessory pulleys only (e.g., alternator, water pump, power steering pump, and crankshaft drive pulleys). It does not allow replacement, modification, or substitution of pulleys, cogs, gears, or belts which are part of cam, layshaft, or ignition drive or timing systems, etc. Any crankshaft damper or pulley may be used. SFI-rated dampers are recommended. Supercharged cars may not change the effective diameter of any pulley which drives the supercharger.

And now that I read the rules again, there are a few other things that pull me out of Street Touring. Oh well.. (Cam gears, no longer a MAS equiped vehicle, IC, BOOOOOOOOOOOOST, oddly missing emissions equipment)

Yeah its not even an underdrive pulley its the same size but weights 1/2 of stock. Not realy any HP gains but people who have them say the engine spins up faster.
