the reason all of those people wreck is because
A either they are too drunk to see in front of them
B dont stay on the right side of the lake
c no resposibilty
in the past 5 boat accidents the number 1 cause of accidents is alcohol related. but i do agree 75 is to fast on a busy sunday or saturday

That boat is nothing compared to other boats we have at the shop. When a few people mess up (specifically Mark Sr. from Shoreline) it ruins the image of high speed boating for everyone. I have been on the lake almost all of my life and have worked for a boat dealership and marina for 4 years and I think the issue that must dealt with soon is not a "speed limit" but some sort of operating class for anyone renting a boat or a PWC. I have had people ask me what side of the lake they should drive on after renting a boat or PWC from another marina (don't want to name it but lets just call it WC). These people have almost caused me harm from ramming docks and just acting stupid. Most performance boat owners are very very good boaters and very safe. Another thing I think has to stop is letting people rent houseboats without any training but I doubt we will see that before we see a speed limit enforced on the water. I am not saying going 75+mph is safe all the time but I think it is when the conditions are right and the driver is careful and knows what they are doing. Renters of PWC's and houseboats scare me more than speed boats.
