In tandem implies some sort of rhythm to it. Organization, if you will.
This seems like everyone is being released at once and whoever doesn't spin out in the middle of track on the first turn gets a high-five until he hits the second turn.
If half the field loses control in the first half of a small track... I would classify that as unsafe.
I'm not a drifter... call me crazy.

lol and I suppose wrecks span all divisions?
I know 240s are shit from the get go... and you guys don't replace your body panels, regardless... but is this standard protocol for amateur drifting events? And wrecks are w/e?
In b4 doridoridrifter foam...

Most drifters lose body parts throughout an event. Wrecks happen in every motorsport. Panels cost money so if it doesn't hurt a track vehicle, why replace it?

I'm curious as to whether or not this start is standard for amateur drifting events?
Seems dangerous and doesn't encourage "all-out drifting". When someone is 10 ft in front of you for until they spin out, it would seem you would always have to worry about the ppl around you (mostly amateurs) and wouldn't be able to perform as one would normally.
Keep in mind... not foamin. This will really surprise me if this is how all drift events start, as I have never been to one before. Just curious.
