I see what you're saying though, but that's why I only said the decals/sponsors for the vehicle. I really couldn't imagine putting a racing stripe or anything large in gold leaf to look good unless like you said a highly detailed layers of colors sort of deal.
I have a vision of this purple broken up with a little onyx black surrounded by some light silver pinstripe with the gold leaf going in the black area(s).

That first purple is dope. Blurple is what I would rock. i just need to find it in a factory car. I think the new focus or Kia has this in their line up. Must do more searching!!!!
